ID Paperwork Required To Hire A Campervan or Motorhome

Please bring the following paperwork with you when you collect your camper van or motorhome. We cannot accept copies - please bring the original documents for each and every driver.
If You Do Not Live In The UK 

All the below documents must be in the name of the driver(s)
  • Full valid driving licence - 
    • non EU driving licences will require a Internation driving licence/permit if your licence is not in English
  • Credit Card
  • Valid Passport
  • Return flight ticket/boat ticket
  • Payment method (Visa or MasterCard credit card belonging to the main driver) to cover the security deposit required upon collection.
If You Live In The UK 

All the below documents must be in the name of the driver(s)
  • Full valid driving licence: 
    • UK driving licence with share code (old paper driving licence with valid passport) or
    • Full valid EU driving licence with valid passport
  • Valid debit card or credit card 
  • Two different forms of address identification – this must be:
    • utility bill (gas, electric, water, council tax, land line phone bill) 
    • a credit card statement 
    • bank statement 
    • It must have the driver's name and current address, and dated within the last 3 months 
    • (example: 1 x bank statement and 1 x gas bill in drivers name).
  • Payment method (Visa, MasterCard or Debit, belonging to the main driver) to cover the security deposit required upon collection.
When travelling to Europe please bring your valid passport as we will need to take a copy of this prior to departure.

If you are unsure about any of these items, please call us on 01708 556237 in advance, do not leave it to close to your collection day.

A UK licence 'Share Code' or 'Check Code' - click here to obtain your code through the gov.uk website. - you cannot hire without one.

Credit card payments carry a handling fee of 2% (secuirty deposit are excluded from this charge) - please contact us for further informaion.

Wests Motorhome Hire UK advise that the hirer takes out an Motorhome Insurance Excess Cover which can protect your secuirty deposit should the vehicle get damaged whilst on hire. Many of our hirers have used Questor Insurance. Please ensure you read there cover and terms to ensure they provide you with the level of cover you require.
